Financial Assistant



Job Summary:

As a Financial Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of financial principles. Responsibilities:                                                   

  1. Financial Record-keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
    • Record financial transactions, including but not limited to, invoices, expenses, and payments.
    • Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial documents.
  2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Process and verify invoices for payment.
    • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
    • Assist in the collection of accounts receivable as needed.
  3. Expense Management:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding expenses.
    • Track and analyze expense trends.
  4. Bank Reconciliation:
    • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
    • Monitor and record all financial transactions related to bank accounts.
  5. Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports on a regular basis.
    • Generate financial statements and reports for management review.
    • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
  6. Budget Support:
    • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets.
    • Track and report budget variances.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure budget compliance.
  7. General Administrative Support:
    • Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
    • Assist with special projects as needed.
  8. Communication:
    • Collaborate with team members to exchange information and resolve financial issues.
    • Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience with financial software or ERP systems is a plus
